A one-room log cabin

Day 6
Thursday, May 3rd
Louisville, KY

First we visited Abe Lincoln's Birthplace in Hodgenville, KY, very impressive.

The one room log cabin

The memorial built for Lincoln

Next was a visit to My Old Kentucky Home
This was made famous with the song written by Stephen Foster

The carriage house

Next was a trip to Evans Williams Distiller.  This is the first distillery we have ever been to so it was very interesting to us.

Ric houses where the bourbon is stored sometimes for 25 years

Bourbon is stored in 53 gallon barrels.
25 year old bourbon has evaporated to less than one-third of a barrel
No wonder it is so expensive

Tasting room, yes we did buy some

Another wonderful day, have a blessed day

Safe travels to all

Joe and Nancy
